From the projects conception, I knew that the most important elements would be the imagery and sound, with each creative decision made consciously maintaining the symbiotic relationship between both senses. That was integral to the process and led to the projects name.

Cardiotomy /ˌkɑːdiˈɒtəmi/ Audio /ˈɔːdiəʊ/

A medical procedure involving an incision in the heart - a visceral, raw and uncomfortable image. Paired with audio - recorded or reproduced sound, capturing memory and emotion.
